Hoot

Phineas is becoming very attached to his owl blanket, Hoot. He sleeps with Hoot every night, snuggles with him at nap time and if he had his way, would go about his entire day with Hoot in hand.

Visiting Henry

Last week mom and Phin went to visit Henry, Uncle Rob, Aunt Julia and Grandma. Henry and Phin had lots of fun playing together but it was difficult to get a good picture of them. Here are a few pictures of our visit.

Phineas got a silk scarf in his Easter basket from Grandma. He really likes playing peek-a-boo with it!

Look how Finn's grown!

Here's a little compilation of Phineas in his chair over the last few months. From top to bottom: 1 month, 3 months, 5 months, 8 months. It's neat to see how he's grown, and to watch that hair get crazier and crazier!

9 Months Old

Phineas turned 9 months old on Tuesday! He also had a check up this week and is weighing in at 17 pounds 6 ounces and is 27 and a half inches tall. Here's Finn getting ready to go see his doctor.

Watching Fish

We went to LL Bean recently and because it was 5:30 p.m. mid-week there was nobody around. They have an aquarium there with salmon, trout, and other fish and Phineas thought it was pretty neat. Then we found the bubble - you can go under the tank and pop up inside it and see the fish swimming around you! Mom took Finn in an he loved it.

Waking up from a nap

Phineas knows which door his parents use to enter his room. When he wakes up after a nap he moves over to the end of the crib nearest the door and either sticks his legs out of the crib or stands up and makes enough noise for us to notice.

Here he's doing the former, and is quite happy to see his parents! It was a good nap; now let's play!

The weather has been nice lately so we've been spending a lot of time outside. Phineas has been having fun on the sidewalk and the porch. But how to get between the sidewalk and the porch? Climb the stairs!

Playing Outside

It was another wonderful day so we let Phineas play outside for awhile. He played on the sidewalk, then with the new green grass, with some dirt, and then he helped May shred a stick.

As a side note, the outfit is a product of Dad-style. Yeah, those are PJs; Finn hadn't gotten dressed yet. And it was bright and sunny so the striped hat is self-explanatory. (Before you ask, no, Dad didn't go to the Fashion Institute of Technology - this is untamed natural skill.)
