Maine Maple Sunday
This year for Maine Maple Sunday we went to Sparky's Apiaries in Hope. Phineas liked walking up the long, muddy driveway to the sugar house and looking at the tractor. He also quickly spotted the flatbed truck they had with a container of sap on the back waiting to be boiled down into maple syrup. Mom and Dad both enjoyed a sample of vanilla ice cream with maple syrup drizzled on top, but Phineas turned it down and played in the mud instead!

Splish Splash!
With all the recent snowmelt we've had puddles appearing everywhere. And what does PFB do with a puddle? Splash around in it! Here he is getting soaked and having a great time doing it.

Christmas in Sedgwick
The Saturday before Christmas we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house to have an early celebration with cousins Henry and Ben and their family. It was an action packed day!

Fall 2012
Here are two pictures of Phineas in Fall 2012. The first is just playing on the lawn and the second is his attempt to get into a paint can to help paint a shelf.

Fireman Phin
We made a fire the other day. Being the big fan of firefighting that he is, Phineas was chiefly concerned with putting it out. So, at the end and on Phin's request, we got the hose out and fought the coals like they were a raging blaze!

Dijon and Phineas being silly
Dijon knows where our kitchen windows are and sometimes he stares at us while we eat dinner. One night he was standing right next to the window behind Phineas so we opened it up and gave him one of Phin's carrots. Then he stuck his nose through and Phin thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Mud, Mud, Phin Loves Mud...Flats
There's a big rock island in the bay that's about a half mile from our shore. At low tide the water washes out enough that you can walk out to the rock. But, it's mud flats most of the way. We decided to attempt the journey and got about halfway there before the mud became too sticky and sloppy to keep going. Phin loved splashing around and we all got plenty muddy!

Phin's Second Birthday!
Two years ago Phineas was born! We celebrated with a chocolate cake that Mom decorated with a garbage truck (upon Phin's request!). Phin oversaw the making and taste-testing of the frosting to ensure it was sugary and delicious. He also had to test the cake before it was cut, but then he took it a little too far and went in face first...

Playing in Mom's Car
One of Phin's favorite things to do when we get home from an outing is to walk around the car and climb in the driver's seat and pretend that he is driving and play with all of the buttons. When you ask him where we are driving to he usually says "dada, moo nana" which means that we are going to the grocery store to get dad cow's milk and bananas.

Muddy!
Now that it's finally getting warm out we've been able to explore what our new place has to offer. The prime attraction is the shore and we've been going down on a daily basis. Phin likes to walk on the mud flats when the tide is out. This time he fell and got all muddy! He shook it off, and after we took off his muddy jacket he played some more on the lawn.

Helping Mom Vacuum
For a little while Phineas didn't like the vacuum. But he's coming around to it and likes to help mom when she uses it!

Hiding in the Cabinet
Phineas has a new game he likes to play - hiding in the cabinet. He sits inside it and waits for us to wonder where he is and then he pops out with a grin on his face.
