Reading a car magazine

Mr. Phin really likes looking at car magazines.  He likes looking at all of the different cars and the detail photographs of the feature cars.  Here he is having a snack and checking out an edition of Car and Driver.

Lunch

Here's Phineas' favorite lunch: a peanut butter and jelly truck sandwich driving on a carrot road with raisin rocks. Yum!

Purple Man!

Phineas LOVES blueberries. He likes them fresh, frozen, in muffins, in anything! Here he is after eating a bowl of frozen buleberries for dessert one night.

Thanksgiving Pie

Mom made a delicious apple pie for Thanksgiving dessert. Here are some pictures of Phin enjoying it, though he like the ice cream just as much or more!

Phin likes maps!

Aunt Julie gave Phineas some map placemats and as it turns out he's a fan. He calls the US map his "states" and the European map his "countries."

Dijon knows where our kitchen windows are and sometimes he stares at us while we eat dinner. One night he was standing right next to the window behind Phineas so we opened it up and gave him one of Phin's carrots. Then he stuck his nose through and Phin thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Last year great aunt Tammy gave Phin a China set and he's now old enough to use it. He likes to drink out of the cup and is quite proud of himself!

Feeding Himself

Phineas has decided that, being the big one year-old that he is, he wants to feed himself. So here are a few pictures of his first attempts at feeding himself (he needs to work on his spoon skills!).

Phin's First Birthday!

Today was Phineas' first birthday! We had a celebration with cake and he got his own piece. The frosting was especially delicious.

Phineas also got some great gifts that he opened throughout the day. Each time he opened a gift he was so interested in it that it took a long time before he was ready to open another!

Teething Biscuit

Phin has been teething a lot lately and one of the ways he likes to ease the pain is by teething on biscuits. He has two teeth on the bottom that will make an appearance any day now!

Vegetables

Now that Phin is 6 months old, he is eating vegetables. So far sweet potatoes are his favorite. Phin is having just as much fun eating baby food as Jen is making it for him!

Starting solid foods

We started feeding Finn rice cereal a couple of days ago. He's been looking forward to eating solid food for awhile and solid food seems to be everything he was expecting and more!
