Dorothy's Tornado House

Oz fever has taken over Rockland with the Farnsworth Museum's Wizard of Oz exhibit.  They even went so far as to create a scaled down version of Dorothy's house after it landed in Oz.  It's quite the piece - intricate and very detailed!  

Portland Head Light

A few weeks ago we went to Portland Head Light to visit some family.  Here are some pictures of Phineas checking it out!

Fun with Leaves

We've been taking Juno down to a local beach now that it's fall and she can run around off leash.  She loves playing in the water and Phineas like to throw rocks and run around with her.

Hiking Mount Megunticook

Earlier today we hiked up Mount Megunticook, which is one of the mountains located inside Camden Hills State Park.  It was a beautiful warm fall day and even though the leaves were past-peak there were still impressive colors to enjoy.

Apple Picking 2013!

Yesterday the Baroody family went apple picking at Hope Orchards, in Hope.  Phineas led the way, running between trees and spotting apples to pick.  Mom helped him reach the high apples and we came home with quite a haul.  Time for apple pie!

The Children's Chapel

We recently went to the Vesper Hill Children's Chapel in Rockport, which is an outdoor chapel with gardens and a nice view of the ocean that is open for the public to enjoy.  Phineas had fun exploring the chapel and various paths that led to it, and we'll be sure to return next spring when the warm weather returns!

Heading to Preschool

Thanksgiving

This year we visited Gido and Sandy and then Grandma for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Here's a picture of Phineas playing the steel drum and driving along a leaf road.

Beech Hill Preserve

We went for a walk up Beech Hill recently.  It was a relatively easy hike along a road.  Phineas ran around and took some "grass breaks."  After we finished the climb we went to a nearby playground for some swinging and sliding.

Halloween 2012

Fireman Phin went trick-or-treating today and brought home quite a haul.  We wandered the streets of Rockland and saw lots of people, but no other firefighters!  Earlier in the day Phineas went to the library for his usual Wednesday morning story time and Mom took some pictures of him in costume.

Fall 2012

Here are two pictures of Phineas in Fall 2012.  The first is just playing on the lawn and the second is his attempt to get into a paint can to help paint a shelf.

Pumpkin Painting

Phineas brought home a little mini pumpkin and wanted to paint it.  What color did he choose?  Red, of course!

Bald Mountain Preserve

We hike Bald Mountain today.  Phineas walked the entire way up himself, pretending to be a brush rig fire truck, and he walked most of the way down as well.  We had a great weather and stopped for a picnic lunch at the summit!
