Today we went sledding, and Phineas had fun!  Here is a video of his run with dad.

Merry Christmas!

We had a nice Christmas morning here in Rockland.  Phineas opened his stocking and then we all opened presents.  Phineas was very excited by some of the toys in his stocking and elated to get the Lego Town Square set, which he started building as soon as we let him.  Then we went down to the trap tree for a picture with everyone who was here.

Phineas and the Big Snow

Almost two feet of snow fell here in less than a week.  Phineas loved it and played outside in it all day one Saturday.  He dug out a snow house in a big snowbank, and slid down some of the snow piles the loaders made at a nearby parking lot.

Phineas and Mom baked some sugar cookies on Sunday.  And, of course, Juno didn't want to miss out on the fun!

Two weekends ago we all jumped in the truck and headed out to find a Christmas tree.  With Phineas's help, we found a nice full evergreen that is now in our living room!  Though it was bitterly cold, Phineas still enjoyed running around the field looking at trees.

Santa Claus

Phineas stopped by and said hi to Santa when he was down at Rockland's trap tree.  He told Santa that he wanted Lego sets for Christmas!

Gingerbread Men!

Last weekend Phineas and Mom went down to our local bakery to make gingerbread men.  Phineas got to make two cookies, and he had a great time spreading the frosting and then adding all sorts of candy decorations.  He was quite proud of his creations!

Inside on a cold day

It was cold outside today - a high of about 15 degrees - so Phineas hunkered down in his playroom and had fun with his Lego collection.  When he plays he starts singing.  Since it's Christmas time, he's been singing a lot of Christmas songs lately!

New Haircut

Thanksgiving 2013

We hosted Thanksgiving 2013 at our house this year.  Cousins Herny and Ben, their parents Rob and Julia, Grammie Friend, and Gido, Sandy, and Jon and Aunt Julie all joined us.  Even Julie's dog Bea stopped by for a bit.  It was quite the party!  Here are some pictures of the cousins having fun.

Dorothy's Tornado House

Oz fever has taken over Rockland with the Farnsworth Museum's Wizard of Oz exhibit.  They even went so far as to create a scaled down version of Dorothy's house after it landed in Oz.  It's quite the piece - intricate and very detailed!

Happy Halloween!

Though it was a rainy night, our hearty UPS deliveryman went out trick-or-treating tonight.  He had fun and got into the rhythm of it, knocking on doors and talking with people.  Here are a few pictures of his outfit before we went out, and one of the loot he brought home.
