Owls Head Transportation Museum

Last weekend Dad and Phin went to the Owls Head Transportation Museum to check out a touch-a-truck event.  In addition to the big rigs and heavy machinery on display, there were activities for kids including pedal car driving and a sand box.  Phineas and Dad checked out the museum too, and Phin's favorite exhibits included the BMW Isetta microcar and a 1918 pumper truck.  We also checked out the MG exhibition and posed for a picture with a '52 MG TD like Gido's.  We'll have to get more information about the MGs when we go back with Gido in a few weeks!

Apple Picking

This year our annual apple picking adventure took us to Hope Orchards.  We picked a bag of apples and ate a few more.  Phineas was very interested in the rotten apples on the ground and the bugs in them!  He also ate an apple while we picked and had a good time.

Union Fair

Two weekends ago, we to the Union Fair. Phineas had a lot of fun there. We saw farm animals, explored the Mathews Museum, went on rides, participated in a 4-H farmers market activity, watched harness racing, listened to Rick Charette perform and of course had an ice cream cone!

Phin liked the harness racing but liked watching the trucks and cars involved in the race more than the horses! He liked watching the truck drag the ring, the water truck wet down the dusty track and the starting gate car opening the gate as it drove on the track.Phin and Dad talked about what the trucks were doing while Mom watched the horses.

Phineas was exhausted from a long, fun filled day in the hot sun and fell right asleep on drive home.

The Rides at Union Fair

Phin loves rides and got to go on as many as we let him with the wristband. His favorite was the car and truck ride and a helicopter ride but he tried out a few others with mom including the giant slide, a pirate ship maze and even a small roller coaster!
