Union Fair

Two weekends ago, we to the Union Fair. Phineas had a lot of fun there. We saw farm animals, explored the Mathews Museum, went on rides, participated in a 4-H farmers market activity, watched harness racing, listened to Rick Charette perform and of course had an ice cream cone!

Phin liked the harness racing but liked watching the trucks and cars involved in the race more than the horses! He liked watching the truck drag the ring, the water truck wet down the dusty track and the starting gate car opening the gate as it drove on the track.Phin and Dad talked about what the trucks were doing while Mom watched the horses.

Phineas was exhausted from a long, fun filled day in the hot sun and fell right asleep on drive home.

Smoothie!

On our trip last weekend we stopped for a snack. Mom ordered a chocolate banana smoothie and Phineas quickly commandeered it. Yum!

School Bus Ride

We went to a wedding last weekend where we took shuttles to the site. The shuttles were yellow school buses, and Phineas was excited from the moment he saw the bus pull up. Here's a picture of us waiting for the bus to leave.

Forward Facing!

We flipped Phin's car seat around recently. Weighing in at 20 pounds 2 ounces at his recent doctor's visit, Phin is finally over the weight plateau that was keeping him rear facing. He loves his new riding perspective - watching mom and dad, looking out the front window, and seeing all the cool things that you see when you're not staring at a seat back!

The Long Ride Home

It was a long ride home from Maryland and Phineas did very well. He got restless when we were stuck in traffic in Massachusetts, but playing with his ball kept him happy.Phin's favorite game was to put the ball above his head, pull it down, and then throw it against the seatback.

9 Months Old

Phineas turned 9 months old on Tuesday! He also had a check up this week and is weighing in at 17 pounds 6 ounces and is 27 and a half inches tall. Here's Finn getting ready to go see his doctor.
