Last Day of School Picnic

We all went to Phineas's last day of school picnic last Friday.  After we ate, we went outside and played some games.  Here are some pictures of Phineas playing.

Phineas comes to Dad's office every day for an hour.  He calls it going to "work" and while there he plays with trucks and talks to Dad's co-workers.  Sometimes it's hard to get him to leave when Mom comes to pick him up!

Uncle James and Trisha and Grandma visited us and Uncle James brought is ipad.  He has some fun apps on it that play animal noises.  Phineas really really liked the dear grunting sound--here are some pictures of him laughing at it!

School Life

Before the field trip started, we got to spend a few minutes with Phineas while he was at school.  Here are some pictures of him on the playground "sailing his boat to Italy" and eating snack with his friends.

Field trip to the farm

Phineas's school went on a field trip today to a local farm.  All of the kids were able to get up close to many different small animals, including sheep, goats, geese, ducks, chickens, chicks, and bunnies.  Here are some pictures of Phineas, who had a great time hugging and kissing all of the animals.

Memorial Day Parade 2012

Phineas watched this year's Machias Memorial Day Parade from the front porch of the DA's office.  We had a short wait before the parade started, so Phin got out his cars and created his own parade.  Once the parade went by the band, horses and fire trucks were his favorite parts.

Phineas discovered that when he sprayed water on the driveway it made a little stream that he could drive his trucks through.  He liked driving the trucks through the water and watching the water spin off the wheels.

Reading in Bed

Phineas came down to Mom and Dad's bed and found Mom's book.  Here he is pretending to read it!  He sat there for awhile looking at the words, flipping pages, and hoping to find a picture.

Juice Box!

Phineas got a juice box when we were out a few weekends ago.  What a marvelous thing, he thought!  He was very excited to put the straw in and drink from it.  Here's a picture of him enjoying it.

Derby Saturday

As you may imagine, the Kentucky Derby is one of the biggest sporting events in our house.  This year Phineas, Mom, and Dad watched it together (Mom picked I'll Have Another -- good job, Mom!).  After the race was over, Phineas jumped up and decided he was a jockey.  Thankfully his mount was very good about it.
