Construction Site!

When we were downtown the other day we walked by a construction site where a developer is building a hotel/condo/parking garage complex. There was a lot of action going on, including bulldozers, steamrollers, dump trucks, excavators, and really tall cranes. Phineas loved watching the machines, but the bang of the dump truck tailgates slamming shut after they dropped dirt startled him each time.

Downtown

We went downtown today to enjoy the warm weather. Phineas can't get enough of all the action in the Old Port and he enjoys pointing out the mechanical fixtures and pipes.

Driving the Crazy Coupe

While Mom and Dad created a gigantic leaf pile, Phineas played in the car. He's a big fan of driving and loves being pushed. He likes to make car engine noises when we push him. Also, we've decided to cut his hair for the first time ever because its getting in his eyes...we just need to work out the details.

Swinging at Aunt Julie's

We went over to Aunt Julie's to help her put up a chair swing. Of course, once it was up, Phineas had to go for a test ride!

Forward Facing!

We flipped Phin's car seat around recently. Weighing in at 20 pounds 2 ounces at his recent doctor's visit, Phin is finally over the weight plateau that was keeping him rear facing. He loves his new riding perspective - watching mom and dad, looking out the front window, and seeing all the cool things that you see when you're not staring at a seat back!

Happy Halloween!

This year's jack-o-lantern pays homage to Phineas' current obsession: balls. He really likes playing with his toy balls, basketballs, and playground balls. And he runs around pointing at anything resembling a ball and says "ba ba!" Including pumpkins, even though he knows what a pumpkin is.

update: when Phin saw this post he said...wait for it...."ba ba!" as he pointed at the pumpkins.

Morning play

Here's Phin playing in the clothes basket. He spent a long time in it this morning, playing with trucks and blocks and clothes.
