Western Head Trail
Last week we were tipped off to a wonderful hike not far from our house. It's short, scenic, and has both shore and woods. As usual, Phineas had a lot of fun hiking up and down the hilly woods trail and wading in the tide pools. He also liked looking at all of the lobster boats in the harbor but, because it was a Sunday, none of them went anywhere.

The Blue Hill Fair
Phineas visited the Blue Hill Fair for the first time. He was very entertained by everything there, from the tractors to the animals to the rides and all of the people. Here are some pictures of Phineas having fun:

Fireman Phin
We made a fire the other day. Being the big fan of firefighting that he is, Phineas was chiefly concerned with putting it out. So, at the end and on Phin's request, we got the hose out and fought the coals like they were a raging blaze!

Mom, Dad, May! Come read with me!
Here's Phin, asking us to come read with him. He's really into reading on the sofa right now, and the blanket over our legs is a requirement!

Playing on the shore on a hot August day
Phin, Mom, and May went down to the shore to play today. It was a hot day so Phin put on his swimsuit and went into the cold ocean water. In the first picture, Phin is pretending to be a clammer. In the pictures near the end, he's pointing out the lobster boats in the bay. The other pictures are of him running around and genuinely having fun.

Rock Climbing
After the wedding we stayed the night at a campground. Phin liked sleeping "outside" and "next to Mom's car." The next morning we explored the rocks next to our tent site.
