Cobras at the Car Museum

We heard about some special cars that were swinging through Owls Head this morning so Phineas threw on his Shelby Cobra shirt, then he and Mom sprung Dad from work and we all shot down to the Transportation Museum for an hour. There were 13 original Shelby Cobras parked on the tarmac. What beautiful cars! And as it turns out, we were caught by the museum's photographer, too!

Beech Hill Preserve

We walked up Beech Hill Preserve for the first time this summer.  It was a nice easy walk to the stone hut at the top.  It was a great day with beautiful views of the bay in front of us.

Mini Golf!

We took Phineas mini golfing for the first time recently.  Once he got the hang of it he really had fun.  This particular course had a number of water elements flowing through it and Phineas liked that - his favorite hole was one where you hit the ball into a river and after floating down a few feet the ball came out near the hole!

Owls Head Light and State Park

The weather was beautiful here last weekend so we went down to Owls Head Light and State Park for a picnic.  We went up inside the lighthouse and the view from inside is amazing!  Then we went down to the shore and played in the water.  It was fun watching all of the boat traffic go in and out of busy Rockland harbor.

Visit from the Ruddys

Cousins Henry and Ben, Aunt Julia, Uncle Rob, and Grandma came to visit recently.  Here are some pictures of everyone playing.  The cousins had a lot of fun together (as usual!).

Under the Cedar Tree

We went to visit Grandma for a few days last week. Phineas had a great time playing outside and built a "house" under a cedar tree in Grandma and Grandpa's yard. He outfitted his house with some odds and ends he found in the shed and even made us some tree soup!

Getting Groceries

When we go to Portland we like to stop at Trader Joe's and stock up on some of our favorite things. Phineas loves the red kid sized grocery carts they have.  He has so much fun pushing the cart around the store, filling it with groceries, and then pushing it back out to the car.

Camping in Connecticut

On our way home from the wedding, we stopped at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, Connecticut and camped for the night. Phineas had fun driving his trucks in the dirt and grass on our campsite and then playing with the flashlights when it got dark. In the morning we walked down and explored the big sandy beach. Phin and mom waded in the water and we all had running races in the sand.
